Construction Project Management Jobs description

A construction project management professional is responsible for the entire construction project i.e. planning, directing, handling the design and being present during the time of construction. It is his responsibility to ensure that the project is implemented effectively. He/she may design the plans for roads, bridges, pipelines, buildings, sewage system and more. The functions of a construction project management professional include performing surveys and tests of the ground and water level of the project, preparing and implementing project safety plan as well as preparing diagrams and charts in a visually pleasing manner. This position requires coordinating with contractors, supervisory personnel and design professionals to avoid and resolve problems related to construction. A construction project management professional should be well conversant with all aspects of framework installation, concrete production and placing and curing and protection. He/she has to analyze engineering design methods viz. Structural, Steel, Timber, Aluminum or Concrete materials by using Limit States and Allowable Stress methods.

A bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required for this position along with a certified degree in Project Management with knowledge of computers, proficiency in CAD as well as good analytical, communicational and planning skills.
