Job Summary:
Develops, coordinates and implements all tasks related to reviewable and non-reviewable, including capital planning, design and construction projects.  Coordinates the planning, design, construction, testing, closeout and financial control of medium to large scale healthcare construction projects.  Provides overall project administration and technical management for
construction projects of varied complexity.  Coordinates and manages daily activities associated with the project management process.  Schedules, documents and supervises the construction projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with the design, budget, quality standards and schedule parameters.  Maintains liaison with internal clients, as well as, local authorities that have jurisdiction over project to ensure compliance with the building codes and inspections.  Monitors work for safety, infection prevention and OSHA compliance. 
 
Essential Duties:


Plans, manages and executes medium to large scale construction projects ranging from new or remodel tenant improvements to shell and core remodels, expansions and new construction.

Oversees general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure they are using proper techniques in the assessment of materials, components, equipment, and systems by employing best practices in the industry.

Participates in the development and administration of the department budget for Reviewable and Non-Reviewable capital construction projects.

 ','!*!Education/Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction Management and five progressively responsible years of project management experience (preferably in a healthcare setting) including a minimum of two years overseeing the work of contractors/vendors that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required.

Licensure/Certification
• If incumbent qualifies under the Bachelor’s degree in Architecture than an Architectural license in the State of Washington required.
• If incumbent qualifies under the Bachelors of Engineering than license as an Engineer-In-Training in the State of Washington required.
• If incumbent qualifies under the Bachelors of Construction Management no license required.
