The Project Manager within the Clinical Practices of The University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) is responsible for leading and managing key strategic initiatives across CPUP and the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS). The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and is tasked with the development of robust project plans that detail scope, specific actions, accountable parties, deliverable timelines, and communication / training specifics for key projects and initiatives both within the team and across the institution. The Project Manager is CPUP’s primary liaison with other UPHS entities and must possess and demonstrate impeccable communication, teamwork, problem-solving, execution, and follow-up skills.. In addition to strategic project management, The CPUP Project Manager is responsible for CPUP internal communications (monthly newsletter, CPUP intranet site, and other communication duties as developed by leadership). The Project Manager is a key member of the CPUP Operations team and must possess / demonstrate excellent, organization, critical-thinking, project management, time management, presentation, communication, and customer-service skills with flexibility, poise, and a “can-do” attitude.
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Finance, Business Administration or Management Field required. Masters of Healthcare Management or Business Administration preferred. At least 2 years of project management experience required (including planning, leading teams, presentation to senior management, and working with cross-functional teams across multiple departments).
Project Management certification preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Visio, Access and Power Point). Critical thinking and multi-tasking skills required. Demonstrated accomplishment and skill in oral and written communication
