Sr Specialist Security

Profile

Summary: This position is responsible for technical analysis and development of the integration testing operations and maintenance of physical security systems and infrastructure. Configures physical security infrastructure and tools, e.g. access control and video management systems for the enterprise. Ensures that physical security infrastructure and tools are properly maintained, updated, and are working to specification and policies. Provides technical support to customers who need assistance. Performs network and physical security analysis to understand vulnerabilities and can create, coordinate, and execute plans for mitigation. Implements physical security controls and assists with the evaluation of organization security policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers and technical staff to ensure that the delivered solution is meeting the needs of the business. Proactively analyze and resolve software/hardware system issues or errors in a timely and accurate fashion. Participate in problem solving and root cause analysis across multiple technologies. Provide status reports as requested and escalate items to decision makers as needed. Strong knowledge of common physical security analysis tools, systems, and techniques. Create and maintain documentation for systems and procedures related to physical security systems. Train customers and others on usage of delivered solutions to satisfy current physical security standards. Provide on-call support and problem resolution for area of responsibility. Demonstrate problem-solving skills within area of responsibility and adjacent technology areas. Develop analyze and interpret physical security solution proposals. Build, maintain, and improve systems to promote the enterprise’s physical security. The desire to work both independently and collaboratively with a larger team.

Education: Four-year degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other technical area is preferred. Related experience may be acceptable.

Experience: 3 plus years of Information, Cyber or Physical Security industry experience required;

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of common operating systems and basic security principles. Strong background with common networking services and protocols. Experience with maintaining and operating common security technologies. Demonstrated experience performing vulnerability penetration tests and assessments.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members. Ability to effectively deliver both written and verbal communication to customers peers and management. Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively independently or in a team environment.

Special Skills: Must have practical knowledge of network security and vulnerability management scanning and remediation techniques; ability to analyze and interpret information technology proposals and evaluate and develop alternative implementation plans.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience working with cloud platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze and correlate information from a wide variety of enterprise technologies. Demonstrated experience managing physical security systems. Knowledge and understanding of common physical security threats and vulnerabilities. Demonstrated experience in project management.

Supervisory: None

Travel: Some travel may be required; both domestic and international. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
