The ideal candidate will have a passion for process improvement, establishing efficient procedures, supporting a variety of business functions and will have a successful track record in project management.The Team The PMO is a diverse group of passionate professionals supporting a rapidly growing Benefits Outsourcing business. The PMO identifies, prioritizes and successfully manages large, complex cross-practice Benefits Outsourcing projects with definitive start/stop dates. The PMO also provides operational cross-practice support that leverages work appropriately and drives efficiency and consistency in our Benefits Outsourcing business. The RoleAs a Project Manager in the PMO, you will manage a combination of cross-practice special projects and operational support projects for the Benefits Outsourcing business. All projects assigned to the PMO are reviewed and approved by Benefits Outsourcing leadership.The scope of the cross-practice projects will vary, but typically they will:Have impacts across health, pension, product and/or service centerInclude projects where Benefits Outsourcing integrates with other businesses at WTWBe complex projects with a large sphere of influenceHave definitive start and stop datesInvolve resources from health, pension, product and/or service centerThe scope of operational support projects will vary, but typically they will:Have impacts across health, pension and/or service centerInclude projects where Benefits Outsourcing integrates with other businesses at WTWBe recurring, ongoing projectsCreate efficiency and consistency in our business Key Responsibilities:Cross-Practice Project Management:Gain an understanding of the business requirements for each projectSchedule and facilitate project kick-off meetings and ongoing meetingsProject status updates to the rest of the PMO, the broader business, Benefits Outsourcing leadership and on the PMO dashboardOwn the communication plan and project planManage projects within timelines and budgetsTrack deliverables and task completion from resources assigned to the projectFoster a collaborative environment and promote a positive team experienceFollow-up with one-on-one discussions with business leaders and project resources as neededConsult client teams and clients as neededTrack project risks, mitigate risks and escalate issuesIdentify areas for improvement and suggest corrective actions as neededGather feedback, facilitate a debrief, provide training and transition projects to the business as neededOperational Support Management:Maintain trusted client, contract, vendor and colleague data for the businessConsistently deliver ongoing operational reports to the businessSupport the business with SOC and audit complianceProvide ongoing support to the business for shared collaboration tools and dashboardsProvide the business with the ability to consistently track progress and project adoption of initiatives across all clientsSupport a consistent, predictable approach to incident responsesGeneral Responsibilities:Provide support, feedback and assistance to members of the PMO and the broader businessAct as a back-up resource for members of the PMOAssist in general priority setting and business case creation for projects within the PMOAdhere to best practices of project management at WTWContribute ideas to continuous process improvementProject Managers will receive guidance and support from the Manager of the PMO','!*!The RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent3 years of experience in project managementAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and ProjectExperience working within a PMO environment is a plusPossess relationship management experience in a cross-functional environment with a demonstrated ability to bring peers and partners together for the successful implementation of initiativesDisplays a great attitude in high pressure situations with ability to negotiate and influence effective outcomes and drive resultsDemonstrate ability to balance tactical and strategic thinking and processes with demonstrated skill at translating strategy into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables and effectively communicating across broad audiencesCommunicate effectively with team members, team leads, and on occasion with executives and clientsWork as a member of a team, accept ownership of work and actively contribute to team discussionsPossess excellent organization skills and decision-making skillsThe Company Willis Towers Watson is a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company that helps clients around the world turn risk into a path for growth.
