SUMMARY

Iyabak Construction, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Project Administrator in Anchorage, AK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Assist with the preparation, review and administration of assigned contracts.

Provide office support for project management team.

Act as an estimating and proposal assistant for management team Prepare bid forms/documents

Acquire bid bonds

Manage project bid calendar

Prepare pay estimates and subcontractor pay estimates.

Set up and maintain project files.

Examine and review contract deliverables; Set up and maintain logs including submittals, RFI’s and other changes.

Ensure payroll submissions are correct; prepare certified payrolls.

Work with quality management systems (QMS).

Prepare and code project and OH invoicing and track P-card expenditures.

Travel to remote project sites required.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years’ experience with contract administration, compliance, purchasing, estimating or related field, preferably in support of Government Construction and/or Services contracts.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Possess a strong desire to expand responsibility and increase experience and knowledge through continuing education.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in contract formation, government contracting, processes such as solicitation, source selection, purchasing, contract administration, and closeout.

Able to interpret the FAR, standard contract terms and conditions, contract parts and organization, prime-sub arrangements, and supplier sales forms.

Knowledgeable in commercial contracts principles including Uniformed Commercial Code, master agreements, and other standard forms.

Knowledge of procurement principals, theories and processes in helpful.

Ability to work independently and apply sound judgement and reasoning skills to a variety of situations, multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.

High level verbal and written communications, attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and familiarity with contact management and estimating.

Able to work under pressure within critical deadlines.

Must work proactively.

Preferred

Accounting software program experience.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
